PYA provides its players with enhanced technical ability, tactical awareness, improved self-confidence, plus a much-needed pathway from grassroots football to professional academies. In the past 18 months, we have gained relationships with numerous professional clubs, including West Ham United, Leyton Orient, Ipswich Town, Cambridge United and Chelsea as a trusted partner in finding talent across Essex.

 

After a successful three years, PYA plans to continue building our youth programme by adding additional age groups, more specialist coaches and new opportunities to our players, which is why the college scheme is a priority.

We aim to differentiate our programme by using our existing partnerships to arrange matches against professional academies and development squads, providing unprecedented regular exposure for our players. In addition, we will invite guest coaches from professional clubs to take one-off sessions.

​

 

As football is at the heart of the College Programme, we believe these opportunities will be an attractive proposition that sets us apart from other local programmes and enable us to recruit a good crop of talented local young persons who want to continue to pursue their footballing dreams while staying in further education.
